DIRT MODIFIED: Tommy Bailey Grabs Two Wins For Berneil Mills Racing
(APRIL 19TH, 2013) Berneil Mills Racing stripped down their dirt modified to the bare Lightning Chassis frame at the end of the 2012 season. Repainted, newly manufactured body, new graphics and now rolling on Hoosier tires again the team headed for Ponderosa Speedway to kick off the new dirt racing season.
Tommy Bailey sat behind the wheel as the car rolled to the Ponderosa Speedway starting grid. In the past, the Kentucky driver has seen some success driving for Berneil Mills Racing. Bailey grabbed three wins during the 2012 racing season. The green flag dropped on the first race of the season, Bailey cruised to a heat race win. Then again to victory lane in the feature event for a clean sweep of opening weekend and a great start on the 2013 season.
The very next night Tommy Bailey and crew traveled to Richmond Raceway and brought home a solid fourth place effort. However, the team saw trouble the following week at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Knoxville, TN. Berneil Mills Racing would make their first regional series debut. They qualified for the main event with a b-main victory, unfortunately Tommy Bailey crossed over the scales light at the conclusion of the event and was forced to a Disqualification.
April 18th the team returned to a familiar battleground, 201 Speedway. Tommy Bailey ran here with the team once last year and brought home the dirt modified machine in the runner up spot. This time however we would grab the top spot and come home with a victory. Picking up two wins in the first four races and giving Berneil Mills Racing much needed momentum as they head into the long season.
